Eric Soto - Head Coach
Coach Soto is originally from El Paso, Texas, and he has been teaching and coaching volleyball for a total of 28 years. He has coached both middle school/high school volleyball and softball at the 3A - 6A classifications in Texas. This will be his seventh year serving as the Head Coach of the Raider volleyball program. In addition, he has coached for various USA club volleyball programs for ages 13 - 17 in both the El Paso and Austin areas. Coach Soto is IMPACT certified, CPR/First Aid/AED trained, and is a member of the Texas Girls Coaches Association, the Texas High School Coaches Association, and the American Volleyball Coaches Association. He is a World Geography teacher at Cedar Ridge High School and is married and has three children and one grandchild.
Rylee Davis
Coach Davis is a graduate of RRISD and continued her volleyball career at Concordia University Texas as a libero. A four-year letterman, she earned ASC Honorable Mention and ASC Academic All-Conference honors. During her junior season, she became the ninth player in program history to reach 1,000 digs. In 2021, Davis graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Psychology, minoring in Art and Kinesiology. She served as President of the International Honor Society in Psychology, and was inducted into the National College Athlete Honor Society. She joins us from Taylor High School, where she served as Head Volleyball Coach, Head Girls Powerlifting Coach, and Assistant Track Coach. Prior to that, she spent two years as an assistant volleyball and track coach at McNeil High School. In 2023, she was named District Coach of the Year after leading her team to a record-breaking season for wins, and a Bi-District Championship. In addition to her school coaching experience, Davis has coached club volleyball for the past eight years at Roots Volleyball, working with athletes ages 12–17. While at Roots, she has garnered multiple top 10 finishes at AAUs and USAV Nationals, and was named Roots Head Coach of the Year (2022-2023).
Breanna Moss
Coach Moss is a former 2017 graduate of Cedar Ridge who continued her softball career and graduated from Temple Junior College and Louisiana Tech University. During her time at Cedar Ridge, she lettered all four years in softball while acquiring district newcomer of the year, three times district pitcher of the year, and MVP. Throughout coach Moss’ collegiate softball career, she received NJCAA First Team All-American, Pitcher of the Year, Division l Midwest Region First Team awards, as well as Division l Pitcher of the Week while at Louisiana Tech University. She will be entering her fifth year of the Special Education Department and her fifth year of coaching volleyball and softball. Outside of volleyball and softball, coach Moss enjoys spending time with her husband Jace and son Milam.
Collin Rutherford
Coach Rutherford is entering his seventh year coaching volleyball at the high school level and has experience coaching volleyball, softball, track, and middle school basketball. Coach Rutherford has playoff experience as both an assistant coach and head coach and has also coached club volleyball in East Texas.. During his time leading the volleyball program at Lexington High School, his teams earned a 2024 Regional Final appearance (34–19), a 2025 Area Final appearance (31–10), the 2025 District 19-3A Coach of the Year award, and the 2024–25 THSCA Region 5 3A Coach of the Year honor. He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Arts in Higher Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and is certified in K–12 Special Education and K–12 Physical Education. Coach Rutherford’s philosophy centers around building culture, developing student-athletes on and off the court, and leading through trust and relationships. Outside of coaching, he enjoys spending time at church, playing sand volleyball, fly fishing, hunting, reading, and spending time with his wife Ryan.
